Billed as a "happening new bar" in press releases before anything had ever happened there, Hilo is a "secret hideaway" that can nonetheless be found from the street by the simple use of one's ears. For a company that calls itself as a hospitality group, there's no real surprise that Hilo is designed to give people what they want: a cavern ambiance with exposed brick and candle lighting, battling against metal supports and bright POS displays for attention.
