Winner of a 2024 James Beard Book Award, Chinese and Australian food and cookbook writer Hetty Lui McKinnon writes vegetable-focused cookbooks that capture the imaginations of vegetarians and omnivores alike. The author of five bestselling cookbooks, her most recent book, Tenderheart, is a collection of vegetable-inspired recipes and poignant family memories.
Fresh from her James Beard Award win, Hetty will be joined in conversation by fellow cookbook author (Indian-ish, Cooking at Home, Priya’s Cooking Adventures) and New York Times Food reporter Priya Krishna. Both women have seen success with cookbooks that transcend typical vegetarian tropes with irresistible recipes rooted in heritage and family memories.
Bites from Tenderheart will be served.
Copies of Tenderheart by Hetty Lui McKinnon are available for purchase with tickets or at the event from our partners at Kitchen Arts & Letters.
